Community Support Program Coordinator - Ottawa, ON (Temp Full-Time)

**Overview**

VON Canada (Ontario) is seeking a dedicated Program Coordinator to join our Wellness for Seniors, Community Support Services team in Ottawa. This temporary, full-time position (1.0 FTE) offers 75 bi-weekly hours with day and evening shifts, running until December 2027. You'll provide essential support to management while leading daily operations within VON's established framework of excellence.

Responsibilities **

• Deliver cost-efficient client services and programs while assessing service needs and monitoring delivery quality • Create and execute program plans tailored to department requirements • Lead volunteer and staff management, including orientation, training, and in-service education aligned with VON Quality Management standards • Maintain active collaboration with clients and healthcare partners to ensure programs address community requirements • Serve as key liaison between clients, healthcare professionals, community support networks, and internal teams • Monitor and report program outcomes and team performance to supervisors and stakeholders in a timely manner • Oversee financial responsibility for assigned programs through budget management • Develop financial and statistical reports for VON and funding requirements, plus program evaluation • Execute Disaster and Emergency Drills per VON protocols • Engage in multi-disciplinary meetings as needed • Champion VON's mission and values as an integrated community care provider

Requirements **

Experience in program coordination and team leadership • Strong assessment and monitoring capabilities • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills • Financial management and reporting experience • Commitment to health and safety standards, including WHMIS training • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment • Knowledge of quality and risk management frameworks • Understanding of confidentiality and personal information protection requirements

Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (full-time)
