📋 Job Description

**Overview**

Nautel Ltd., an award-winning Nova Scotia-based leader in specialized communications equipment, seeks an IT Support Technician to join our collaborative IT team. This role offers the perfect blend of hands-on technical work and professional growth opportunities across our multi-location operations in Hacketts Cove.

Responsibilities **

• Provide comprehensive desktop support including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hardware/software systems, desktops, laptops, printers, and telecommunications equipment • Deliver exceptional IT services to all Nautel users through equipment provisioning, system modifications, user training, and responsive support for ad hoc requests • Maintain and support business applications, databases, and systems while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors • Contribute technical expertise to business and IT initiatives as project needs emerge • Manage IT asset inventory including software licenses, computing devices, mobile equipment, network infrastructure, and security appliances • Oversee antivirus administration and respond promptly to security threats and malware incidents • Administer backup systems and wireless network services while supporting internal applications and systems

Requirements **

• IT Diploma with relevant experience, or 3+ years equivalent hands-on experience • Strong understanding of business workflows and departmental interdependencies • Proficiency in Windows environments, Office applications, SYSPRO, and Salesforce • Linux knowledge and programming language familiarity preferred • Network equipment experience (switches, firewalls, access points) advantageous • Exceptional discretion, confidentiality, and ethical standards • Outstanding communication abilities and independent work capabilities • Proactive problem-solving mindset with strong initiative • Superior organizational and analytical competencies • Collaborative team player with deadline-driven focus

🕐 Schedule

Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (full-time)
