Responsibilities : As a DevOps Engineer, you will be at the crucial intersection of software, hardware, and operations, taking our systems to new heights. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Integrating new hardware vendors into our existing system landscape - Adapting and enhancing our proprietary locker operating system based on Debian Linux - Implementing and testing new features directly on the hardware - Optimizing and developing applications on embedded systems - Establishing and integrating monitoring solutions to support the operations team - Analyzing error patterns and continuously improving stability and operations - Contributing to the development of our data platform - Working independently on projects, often with a significant amount of solo work.
Requirements : While experience is valuable, we prioritize the successful execution of tangible projects. A GitHub profile or similar project examples will be advantageous. Ideal candidates will possess: - Proficiency in Python or Go, with a willingness to actively engage with both - Familiarity with Java to understand existing systems - A solid grasp of Linux systems - A keen interest in hardware and a willingness to work directly with devices - A background in electronics, media technology, or hardware-related development is preferred - Excellent communication skills in both German and English - Availability to come into the office for testing regularly (2 to 4 times a month, more during intensive phases).

Experience with automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible, single board computers like Raspberry Pi, and tools like OpenTelemetry or Clickhouse.
