Responsibilities As the Head of Engineering, you will be at the forefront of developing the foundational infrastructure that transforms risk management in tokenized finance into machine-readable, on-chain, and composable formats. This is a strategic leadership position where you will manage the engineering team, ensuring a high-performance culture while overseeing day-to-day operations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading the engineering team through regular 1:1s, performance management, and accountability across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure. - Stabilizing and scaling our core infrastructure by identifying gaps, establishing engineering standards, and developing a resilient, production-ready architecture. - Driving project delivery by converting product and business goals into actionable engineering roadmaps and sprint plans. - Collaborating closely with the Head of AI to ensure seamless integration of AI processes within the broader platform infrastructure, from data ingestion to API delivery. - Cultivating an engineering culture that promotes effective processes such as code review, incident response, documentation, and testing without adding unnecessary bureaucracy. - Leading recruitment and team building efforts in close partnership with the CTO, ensuring the right talent aligns with our objectives. - Acting as a liaison in leadership discussions, translating technical realities into business expectations.
Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess: - 7-12 years of experience in software engineering, including a minimum of 3 years in a direct engineering leadership role. - A proven history of managing and developing small to mid-sized engineering teams in a dynamic startup environment. - A strong understanding of full-stack development, including backend systems, frontend delivery, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and API design. -
Experience in stabilizing and scaling existing infrastructure, not limited to greenfield projects. - Exceptional people management skills, conducting effective 1:1s, delivering constructive feedback, and providing clarity in complex situations. - Strong communication abilities, capable of bridging the gap between technical teams and senior leadership. - A structured and process-oriented approach to engineering management.
