As a Toronto-based startup with ambitious goals, we are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to help us enhance our platform and provide diverse user experiences.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing essential features and systems that will drive PolicyMe's growth into one of Canada's leading life insurance brands.
Responsibilities : - Develop innovative product features for our React-driven web application. - Contribute to our unique UI component library utilizing shared npm packages. - Improve our backend API functionalities. - Engage in collaborative technical design discussions with the team.
Requirements : - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience. - Proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, ESNext, React, Python, and Node. - Familiarity with UNIX/Linux systems. - Solid understanding of computer science principles. - Capable of managing priorities and working autonomously in a dynamic startup atmosphere. - Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
