Overview: Wavestone Germany AG is on the lookout for a skilled Second Level Support Engineer with expertise in PKI systems to join our team in Munich. This remote position is set to begin on May 1, 2026, and offers a unique opportunity to engage in crucial support tasks that ensure the smooth operation of email encryption and digital service cards.

Responsibilities : In this role, you will take charge of 2nd-level support, addressing user issues related to email encryption and digital service cards. Your tasks will include: - Analyzing and diagnosing software issues within the production environment, ensuring timely resolution. - Issuing and revoking X.509 certificates while managing certificate requests using OpenXPKI. - Crafting and maintaining technical documentation, user manuals, and knowledge base entries in SVN and Wiki. - Providing configuration support for external partners regarding EMV connections and updating contact information in the address book. - Performing tests on PKI components and GUI tests in various environments. - Facilitating external customer connections to directory services via LDAP. - Conducting knowledge transfer sessions for internal staff on ticket handling and troubleshooting procedures.

Requirements : To qualify for this position, candidates should possess: - Solid experience in 2nd-level support within PKI systems and certificate management. - Proficiency in issuing and managing X.509 certificates and certificate applications. - Hands-on experience with OpenXPKI and troubleshooting user issues related to email encryption and digital service cards. - Strong skills in creating and maintaining technical documentation in SVN and Wiki systems. - Basic knowledge of LDAP connections and directory services. - Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred

Qualifications : While not mandatory, the following skills would be advantageous: - Basic knowledge of SecDocs Signature Client (SAK) or similar middleware. -

Experience with CardButler, BACSpider (Container), or OSCMD mini-drivers. - Familiarity with GUI testing and component testing for PKI solutions. -

Experience with ticket systems for issue resolution. - Knowledge of WebDAV certificates and machine certificates. - Understanding of configuration support for EMV-related issues.
