Founding Engineer Opportunity in Cologne with Maxmove

Responsibilities : - Lead the core product development by designing, developing, and implementing backend services, APIs, and architecture for our logistics platform. - Take ownership of our infrastructure, including databases, cloud deployments, monitoring, and CI/CD processes. - Actively participate in shaping the technical roadmap, product direction, and architectural decisions. - Rapidly prototype and validate new features, including AI-driven matching, route optimization, and demand prediction. - Recruit and mentor the first wave of engineers as our team expands. - Establish a robust engineering culture, best practices, and comprehensive documentation from the ground up.

Requirements : - A strong engineering background with over 2 years of hands-on software development experience, ideally in a startup or 0→1 environment. - Formal work experience is not mandatory; personal projects, open-source contributions, or a strong portfolio are equally valuable. - Proficient in backend development (Go, Node.js/TypeScript) with a solid understanding of APIs, databases, and distributed systems. - Full-stack mindset with the willingness to work across backend, frontend (React / Expo RN), and data pipelines. -

Experience in AI-driven development (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) is a significant advantage. - An ownership mentality with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to thrive in ambiguity.
