As a part of the Fraud and Safety Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our hosts and guests, ensuring the integrity of our expansive marketplace.
Responsibilities : In this influential position, you will spearhead strategies to combat emerging fraud and abuse, taking charge of proactive identification and mitigation efforts. Your success will be measured by your ability to disrupt risks at their source, develop forward-thinking fraud strategies, and establish robust defenses. Key responsibilities include: - Leading and mentoring a specialized team to analyze extensive fraud signals, converting complex data into actionable platform controls, rules, and policies. - Conducting strategic analyses of fraud trends and patterns utilizing SQL and Python, and leveraging visualization tools to inform decisions. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams—including data science, product development, legal, and community policy—to create and implement new fraud prevention measures and automated systems. - Preparing and delivering comprehensive investigative reports and fraud intelligence presentations to leadership and stakeholders using data visualization techniques. - Managing critical incidents to maintain platform integrity and community safety during significant events or spikes in threats. - Identifying opportunities for automation to enhance detection processes and minimize manual workload.
Requirements : The ideal candidate will possess: - Over 8 years of leadership experience in fraud intelligence, risk analytics, or related sectors, such as financial crime or marketplace fraud. - A strong analytical mindset with proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and visualization. - A track record of successful strategic leadership and collaboration across diverse teams. - Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to various audiences.
