PolicyMe is revolutionizing the trillion-dollar life insurance industry through innovative technology solutions. This Toronto-based venture-backed InsurTech startup seeks a talented Junior Software Engineer to help scale our platform and build exceptional user experiences. Since 2018, we've delivered over $1 billion in life insurance coverage to Canadian families and earned recognition as one of Canada's 50 Most Impactful Companies of 2021.

Responsibilities **
• Develop innovative product features using our React-based web application • Maintain and expand our proprietary UI component library through shared npm packages • Strengthen and optimize backend API functionality • Participate actively in collaborative technical design sessions • Help architect solutions that support PolicyMe's rapid growth trajectory

Requirements **
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience • Proficiency in web technologies: HTML5/CSS3/ESNext/React/Python/Node • Solid experience working within UNIX/Linux environments • Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals • Self-motivated with ability to manage priorities in dynamic startup setting • Outstanding communication, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
