Position Information The Lead 3, Trauma Program is responsible for overseeing the administrative and operational activities of the department, including assessing patient priorities, assigning workloads, and managing data/resources. The Lead 3 is also responsible for the evaluation of related programs, and implementation/coordination of patient related activities in adherence to clinical standards and internal policies. This role serves as liaison for internal and external stakeholders, develops education /research activities, coordinates integration, identifies/addresses operational issues and makes recommendation for improvement as needed to ensure optimal care/seamless delivery of services to patients.
What You Will Bring ¿ A bachelor¿s degree in nursing or a health related field; ¿ Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario; ¿ Three (3) years of recent trauma-related clinical experience; ¿ Two (2) years of leadership experience; ¿ Understanding of trauma systems and system integration; ¿ Demonstrated leadership skills; ¿ Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate programs and protocols to meet the needs of a Lead Trauma Hospital; ¿ Demonstrated ability to identify, implement and evaluate quality related initiatives; ¿ Demonstrated ability to liaise with multiple care providers and multiple clinical units; ¿ Ability to prepare and present educational material to meet the needs of professional and community groups; ¿ Ability to elucidate a vision of a regional lead trauma hospital; ¿ Effective communication skills in dealing with subordinates, colleagues and superiors; ¿ Ability to work autonomously and to problem solve issues effectively and efficiently; ¿ Effective time management and prioritization skills; ¿ Openness to flexibility in hours and local/provincial/national/international travel; ¿
Experience in computer applications and ability to apply to Emergency and Trauma systems (Microsoft office, EPIC) You will stand out with: ¿ Master's degree in nursing or related field; ¿ TNCC/ATCN/ATLS Instructor; ¿ Proficiency in speaking and comprehending both English (advanced level) and French (advanced level) .
