**Overview**
Hilden Farms Ltd. is seeking a dedicated livestock caretaker to join our agricultural team in Hilden, NS. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work directly with animals while contributing to essential farm operations in a supportive rural environment.

Responsibilities **
• Assess and diagnose health concerns in livestock to ensure animal welfare • Oversee calving procedures and provide assistance as needed • Execute daily animal care tasks including feeding, grooming, and general tending • Implement and supervise breeding programs for pasture and pen environments • Develop and manage nutritional feeding schedules for optimal livestock health • Conduct milking operations and provide shearing services • Maintain detailed records of animal performance and health metrics • Keep facilities clean and well-maintained including stables, barns, and outdoor areas • Handle various general farm responsibilities as required

Requirements **
• 1-2 years of relevant livestock or farm experience • Authorization to work in Canada • Willingness to relocate to the Hilden area • Physical capability to perform demanding outdoor work • Strong observation skills for monitoring animal health and behavior • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions • No formal education requirements - practical experience valued
