Responsibilities As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient care within the Urgent Primary Care Centre or Primary Care Clinic. Your duties will include conducting initial consultations, performing assessments, and providing health education and interventions tailored to each client’s unique needs. You will ensure that our vulnerable clients, whether attached or unattached, receive timely and personalized care that is culturally sensitive.
In addition, you will facilitate smooth transitions for clients across the healthcare spectrum, adapting to their changing conditions to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions. Collaboration with acute, primary, and community care providers, including Nurse Practitioners and Physicians, will be essential in developing effective care plans while ensuring that clients and their families receive the support they need to navigate the healthcare system successfully.
Requirements To qualify for this role, you must adhere to the standards set by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). You will need to demonstrate a commitment to trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices, establishing trusting relationships with clients that encourage independence and self-determination. We are looking for candidates who can empower clients and their families to engage meaningfully with their communities, enhancing their overall health outcomes.
Salary This position offers a competitive salary ranging from CAD $41.42 to $59.52 per hour, along with numerous benefits, including up to four weeks of vacation in your first year, 100% employer-paid comprehensive benefits, immediate enrollment in a defined municipal pension plan, and a 50% subsidy on TransLink passes.
