We're seeking product-focused Software Engineers to build world-class fraud detection and prevention solutions for our customers. **Responsibilities** As part of our growing team with ambitious goals, you'll own responsibility beyond typical ticket resolution. Working across our full technology stack, you'll solve real product challenges for actual users. Key expectations include: • Partner with customers and team members as part of our world-class product delivery team, prioritizing customer needs and continuous iteration • Drive execution by approaching work iteratively and minimizing feedback cycle times • Excel in our dynamic environment by working through customer problems hands-on rather than theorizing from the sidelines • Serve as Customer 0 - using Clerk internally means your solutions for our projects often become customer-facing features • Champion engineering excellence through maintainable, high-performance, well-structured code **Requirements** We're looking for a backend or full-stack expert comfortable in backend development who can dive into JavaScript/TypeScript when needed. You prioritize solving customer pain points over specific tooling. Ideal candidates have: • Proficiency writing clean, idiomatic Go code • Familiarity with modern frontend stacks (expertise not required) • Passion for creating developer tools that are intuitive, reliable, and enjoyable • Experience with event-driven architectures, Pub/Sub patterns, and scaling challenges • Background handling and analyzing large datasets (Clickhouse experience a plus) • High standards for code quality, system design, and performance
