This remote role offers the chance to be part of the Developer Infrastructure organization, dedicated to enhancing the productivity of engineers and AI Coding Agents.
Responsibilities : As a key member of the CI+Build team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the developer infrastructure that powers Airbnb's software lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include: - Architecting enhancements to our Bazel installation and improving remote build/cache infrastructure to boost correctness, reproducibility, and speed. - Establishing the technical roadmap to ensure reliability and performance of the software build system. - Identifying and resolving build performance bottlenecks to accelerate inner-loop development velocity and CI run-times. - Promoting alignment on build system investments across various teams and technical domains. - Acting as the technical expert on build systems, collaborating with backend, web, and mobile product engineers.
Requirements : To excel in this role, you should be comfortable navigating the architecture of our largest internal backend services, as the complexity of our build graph continues to evolve. You will need: - Proven experience in software development, particularly in build systems and CI/CD processes. - Strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of performance optimization in software development. - The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive technical direction across multiple platforms. - A passion for delivering high-quality, scalable build systems that meet the demands of a rapidly growing organization.
