We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to be a part of our Safety team, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the security of our platform. Collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, including data scientists and product managers, to innovate methods for identifying and mitigating potential safety risks.
Responsibilities : As a key member of the Safety team, you will: - Engage with expansive backend systems to identify risks, utilizing established rules and advanced machine learning models. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including machine learning engineers and data scientists, to discover opportunities for significant business impact and refine requirements for risk management. - Develop tools and automation strategies to effectively minimize safety risks in operations. - Ensure that legitimate users are minimally affected while creating solutions to deter malicious activities. - Work on initiatives such as creating mechanisms for detecting party risks, preventing human trafficking, and building data pipelines for product analysis and machine learning.
Requirements : To excel in this role, you should have: - A minimum of 5 years of experience in building scalable systems, along with an MS or PhD in a relevant field. - A genuine passion for developing user-focused products or large backend infrastructures. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Scala, Java, or Python. - The capability to write high-performance, production-quality code. - Familiarity with the architectural patterns of large-scale web applications, including well-designed APIs and efficient algorithms. -
Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional teams, alongside effective communication skills to engage with non-technical stakeholders. - Background in the Trust and Risk domain or familiarity with large language models is a plus.
