Responsibilities : As a Senior Software Engineer on the Service Tools team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the productivity of Airbnb's backend developers. Your primary focus will be on developing, testing, and maintaining code efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities include: - Designing and implementing our cutting-edge build system utilizing the latest technologies such as Bazel. - Facilitating seamless integrations between the build system and CI/CD tools, which include managing merge queues, code coverage, and integration testing. - Enhancing the development experience for backend engineers, particularly within the IntelliJ environment. - Contributing to the technical strategy aimed at improving core metrics like Developer
Experience , Velocity, Debuggability, and Reliability while optimizing costs. - Collaborating with engineering leaders across various teams to ensure the successful adoption of new tools and capabilities. - Acting as both a contributor and mentor, ensuring the highest standards of code quality and operational excellence within our dynamic team.
Requirements : To thrive in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria: - Proficient in English at a professional level. - A minimum of 6 years of experience in the software industry. - A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Strong skills in one or more server-side programming languages.
