Overview Join an international financial services company based in Cologne as a Software Asset & License Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in enhancing and structuring the company's software asset management (SAM) practices. Software licenses have become a crucial factor in strategic cost management and compliance for businesses, and your expertise will ensure that licenses are effectively managed, costs are optimized, and compliance standards are met.
Responsibilities - Develop and enhance the corporate-wide Software Asset Management framework. - Create and maintain policies, processes, and standards for license management. - Analyze licensing models and volumes to identify cost optimization opportunities. - Ensure compliance in software license usage and management. - Act as a liaison between IT, procurement, and various business units. - Advise internal stakeholders on licensing models and strategies. - Assist in contract reviews and license negotiations. - Establish structured reporting for license usage and management, providing actionable insights for management and IT. - Support the selection and implementation of a Software Asset Management tool, ensuring sustainable processes for license management and compliance.
Requirements - A degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field. - Proven experience in license management, software asset management, or IT procurement. - Familiarity with common licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, etc.). - Ideally, experience with SAM tools or ITSM systems. - Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to work. - Excellent command of German and good proficiency in English.
