**Overview**
Journee Technologies, a Berlin-based technology startup founded in 2020, is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join their ambitious team building Ojin, a cutting-edge real-time generative AI platform. Known for their award-winning collaborations with BMW, H&M, and Siemens using proprietary low-latency streaming technology, Journee is now pioneering developer-focused AI infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to shape products from conception to launch in a high-impact startup environment, available either from their Berlin headquarters or remotely (CET +/- 2h).

Responsibilities **
• Take complete ownership of features from initial concept through production deployment, encompassing UI/UX design, product logic, and technical execution • Build and architect core web infrastructure using TypeScript, React, and Node.js to create responsive, intuitive user experiences • Develop Python-based backend systems powering AI capabilities, including proxy services, agentic systems, and conversational AI workflows • Lead systems architecture decisions that balance rapid delivery with long-term scalability and reliability • Collaborate directly with founders, designers, and engineering team members to influence product roadmap and technical direction

Requirements **
• 8+ years of professional software development experience • Proven startup experience with ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced early-stage environments • Expert-level frontend skills in React and TypeScript, plus strong backend competency in Node.js and TypeScript • Proficiency in Python with experience or strong interest in building AI agent and conversational interface backend systems • Product-focused mindset with genuine enthusiasm for UI/UX design and user-centric decision making
