Team Overview

The Accounting Team at Stripe plays a pivotal role in supporting all of Stripe's products, providing insights into accounting ramifications, and fostering informed strategic decision-making. We ensure the precise and timely documentation of all transactions generated by the business, reflected on our balance sheet and income statement. Our environment is dynamic, and we work closely with various cross-functional and international teams.

Your Role

We are on the lookout for a skilled accountant to join our exceptional accounting team. In this position, you will oversee revenue and cost accounting for products from our Bridge subsidiary. Your expertise in US GAAP, especially ASC 606, will help you swiftly determine accounting implications and customer impacts, while collaborating with team members across functions to establish operational processes that facilitate our growth. Ideally, you bring both public accounting and industry experience from the tech or financial services sectors, particularly with businesses that handle a high volume of intricate transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage P&L accounting for Bridge’s offerings, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analyses, financial reporting, and analytical assessments
• Collaborate closely with Bridge’s product, go-to-market, and finance teams to gain insights into new products, features, and contracts, advising on their accounting ramifications
• Work alongside internal systems and engineering teams to enhance internal financial systems and automate accounting processes
• Conduct research and prepare technical accounting evaluations
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and develop new processes for emerging and expanding business activities
• Identify, propose, and execute scalable accounting processes to support Bridge's global development
• Analyze data and system flows, reviewing financial outcomes to pinpoint and rectify discrepancies.
• Assist with external audit procedures
