Responsibilities : As a Risk Strategist, you will: - Design and implement risk strategies tailored for Stripe’s expanding merchant portfolio, utilizing your extensive expertise in risk management. - Use your SQL proficiency to conduct detailed quantitative analyses and create data visualizations. - Assess the financial implications of your risk strategies on Stripe’s profits and losses. - Offer insights to refine or develop new risk models and policies, collaborating with both engineering and non-engineering teams across multiple risk programs. - Identify and address high-risk payment issues, such as compliance failures with financial partners, along with emerging policy trends and risks linked to new product releases. - Gain a comprehensive understanding of Stripe’s evolving product suite to establish risk requirements and evaluate risk levels prior to market launches. - Act as a representative during audits from financial partners, simplifying complex risk systems into clear concepts for auditors.

Requirements : To be considered for this role, you should have: - A Bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or a related area, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a Financial Risk Specialist role or similar. - At least 3 years of experience in analyzing and managing large data sets, including proficiency in SQL and BI tools like Tableau. - 3 years of experience managing relationships with financial institutions, users, and law enforcement. - 3 years of experience leading cross-functional projects with teams in engineering, operations, and external partners to establish effective fraud controls. - 3 years of working with product teams as a risk advisor to ensure safe product launches and scalability. - 3 years of experience in problem identification, project planning, and implementing solutions.

Salary: $185,286 - $229,100/yr
